Chuan-Ming Liu is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), TAIWAN. He received his Ph. D. in Computer Sciences from Purdue University in 2002 and B.S. and M.S. degrees both in Applied Mathematics from National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan, in 1992 and 1994, respectively. In the summer of 2010 and 2011, he has held visiting appointments at Auburn University and Beijing Institute of Technology, respectively. Dr. Liu’s research interests include big data management, uncertain data management, data streams, data management and dissemination in various emerging computing environments, spatial data processing, location based services, ad-hoc and sensor networks.
